7 Ways You Can Get Rid of Cellulite

Ladies, take a good look at your legs and thighs in the mirror. Are these areas covered with dimples? You'll probably agree that dimples that appear when someone smiles are cute, but dimples on your body are ugly!

Did you know that cellulite consists of pockets of fat located just beneath connective tissues under your skin? These fatty deposits swell underneath constraining connective tissues -- giving that dreaded orange peel effect. You might be surprised to learn that even if you are slender, you can still have cellulite deposits.

It isn't a dangerous condition, but it is embarrassing. It's very common among adult women lose fat belly.

Cellulite is hereditary, so if your mother had it -- you'll probably accumulate dimpled fat deposits as well.

There are a number of factors that contribute to the formation of cellulite -- such as not drinking enough water. Eating too many junk foods will also contribute to it, so be sure most of your calories come from healthy foods instead of junk food. Avoid smoking because that can result in more cellulite. Get plenty of exercise too.

Medical science constantly discovers new ways to treat a variety of diseases -- including ways to fight cellulite. It's tough to get rid of cellulite and there is no magic cure for it, but there are some treatments that just may work for you.

Here are seven ways that you can fight cellulite:

1. Include cardiovascular exercise in your exercise routine on a regular basis. Your heart needs to be beating fast enough to increase your circulation to help reduce your cellulite deposits.

2. Eat healthy foods and drink healthy drinks. For example, avoid sugary soft drinks and drink clear water instead. Don't choose pizza and other fattening main dishes on a regular basis, but eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables instead.

3. Try different cellulite lotions or creams to see if they work for you, but check the ingredients first to see if you are allergic to any of them.

4. A machine was invented in France a while back that uses rollers and suction to gently fight cellulite. It's called the endermologie machine and some believe that its deep massage treatment increases circulation and releases toxins from your body when your connective tissues are stretched. This method requires a number of treatments. Although an individual treatment is not that expensive, the cost can go up because numerous treatments may be required before any of your cellulite deposits disappear.

5. A treatment from Austria -- called vacuum therapy -- may work for you. You'll have to wear a specially designed suit while you spend about a half an hour on a treadmill. The muscles of your abdomen will get a real workout in this method. If you suffer with a heart condition or circulatory problems, this treatment is not for you.

6. It may be that you are not overweight at all but still have cellulite deposits. If that's the case, you might want to try the ionithermic body treatment method. This method employs thermal clay combined with electrical impulses and specially-made pads.

7. The most expensive treatment is cosmetic surgery, such as liposuction. And that's because a plastic surgeon is required.

So there you have it -- 7 treatment options. So if you have cellulite, you are not necessarily sentenced to have it for the rest of your life. Because of medical research, help is available.
